OUTLOOK

An area of low pressure will advance toward the region today and bring a good amount of rainfall with thunderstorms this afternoon. Dry high pressure will build back on Friday, before another storm system moves into the forecast area Saturday.

A chance of rain before 1pm, then showers likely between 1pm and 3pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night

A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a chance of showers between 11pm and 5am, then a chance of rain after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Hazards

A Wind Advisory is in effect today. A few thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and linger into the evening. These storms will capable of producing gusty winds and cloud to ground lightning.

A cold front will approach the area Saturday. There is some uncertainty with the actual timing of the frontal passage, but strong to possibly severe storms will be possible from late morning through the afternoon.
