Inspiration-4 Launch Coverage

Tonight, SpaceX will be launching four civilians into space from Pad 39A in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The mission is called Inspiration-4 and will be in orbit for three days at an altitude than the International Space Station. Since they are not going to the International Space Station, the launch window is larger than the one second, it is five hours long, and starts at 8:02pm Eastern Time.

Scott Manley has an informational video about the flight.

SpaceX's Latest Crew Mission Is Unlike Any Other

For those of you who are Netflix subscribers, there are a series of videos about the people who will be going into orbit. [Countdown: Inspiration4 MIssion to Space]

Shift4 Payments CEO Jared Isaacman is paying SpaceX to launch 4 people (including Isaacman) into space as part of a fundraiser for St Judes Children Hospital. The mission aims to promote four values: leadership, hope, generosity, and prosperity. The goal is to raise $200 million, and Jared Isaacman has donated $100 million toward that goal, as well as the cost of the mission itself.

Learn the various ways of how to contribute at [Inspiration4 and St. Jude].

The Spacecraft Commander is Jared Isaacman, the Pilot is Sian Proctor, the Chief Medical Officer is Hayley Arceneaux, and the Mission Specialist is Christopher Sembroski. This will be the first spaceflight for all crew members. Mission Homepage.
