PRESS RELEASE (09-29-2021)
MACON COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE

Suspect Tristan Justice Davis is currently in custody of MCSO.

Yesterday’s chase and manhunt ended early this morning with suspect Tristan Justice Davis in the custody of Macon County deputies. Following yesterday’s chase and manhunt, detectives monitored our CrimeStoppers Hotline and received multiple tips on the new Sheriff’s Office App throughout the night and followed up on any and all leads received. Early this morning detectives went to a location where they had information that suspect Davis may be at a particular residence. Detectives went to the residence and an individual at the residence informed them that suspect Davis was inside his residence. Deputies immediately entered the home and were able to take Tristan Justice Davis into custody without incident. Davis was immediately transported to the Macon County Detention Center. Davis was complaining of injuries he had received and was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. Once he is checked by medical staff and declared fit for confinement he will be brought back to the Macon County Detention Center and be formally charged with multiple offenses.

At this time detectives are initiating the next step into their investigation. We will now begin following up with Information as to who has played a role in assisting the suspect while he was on the run from “Justice”. Detectives have seized his cell phone and will obtain search warrant for his fb account and other accounts he had access to. We know Tristan Justice Davis was enjoying spending time on Facebook last night while on the run so we are confident our investigation will lead us to additional suspects.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the MCSO.

IMAGE RED SAND PROJECT

Zonta Club of the Franklin Area Red Sand Project

The Red Sand Project will be held in front of the Macon County Courthouse in downtown Franklin on Saturday October 2 at 9 a.m. Social distancing will be practiced and masks are advised.

Come and help to draw attention to those who metaphorically “fall through the cracks” and become victims of human trafficking. Women and children are more likely to be victims; unfortunately trafficking often goes unrecognized and is far more prevalent here than most people realize. Zonta will highlight how it affects our community and our country and introduce some of the organizations here that combat it. Participants will be given red sand that they will use to fill the cracks in the sidewalk, to draw attention to those who cannot advocate for themselves.
