OUTLOOK

Chilly high pressure will control the weather pattern for today followed by a moderating southerly flow of air on Wednesday. The next system to bring active weather will be late Thursday and Friday. A lull in the activity is expected late Friday into Saturday before active weather returns during the early part of next week.


**School Delays for Tuesday, January 4, 2022**

Highlands School will be on a two-hour delay today. School will begin at 10:00 am. Please do not drop of students before 9:30 to insure access to the building and proper supervision.

Nantahala School will be on a two hour delay today.

2007 – The 110th United States Congress convenes, electing Nancy Pelosi as the first female Speaker of the House in U.S. history.
