OUTLOOK

Waves of low pressure will move east along a front stalled near our area through Thursday. This will bring rounds of rainfall to the area, with thunderstorms and potentially heavy rain today. A strong cold front looks to bring more substantial rain chances Friday night, and high elevation snow to the mountains Saturday. Very cold and windy conditions are also expected. A slow warm up ensues through early next week.

Possible Wintry Weather, Wind Chill, and High Wind Event This Weekend

Rain will develop Friday night ahead of a strong cold front. Once the front passes, rapidly falling temperatures may allow the rain to transition to snow across the mountains, possibly leading to travel difficulties in some areas. Strong winds will occur across the area, possibly causing minor tree damage. High elevations may experience dangerously cold wind chills Saturday afternoon and night.
