Hazards and Tropical Weather

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop across the mountains this afternoon and evening. Main potential impacts are cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, and heavy downpours leading to a localized flash flood risk. An isolated severe storm cannot be ruled out. Any storm that becomes severe would have a microburst threat leading to the potential for damaging wind gusts.
