Groundbreaking - Sowing the Seeds of the Future - Friday, October 27 5:00 p.m.

TOWN FOR FRANKLIN

The Folk Heritage Association of Macon County (FHAMC) will be holding a groundbreaking event for the installation work to begin at the sculpture site for Sowing the Seeds of the Future. This monumental artwork will be the beginning ("trailhead") of the Women's History Trail, a project of the FHAMC. The installation of the sculpture is planned for March 2024. The sculpture was gifted to the Town of Franklin in fall 2022 and was completed by sculptor Wesley Wofford in May 2023. The support received from the community has been immeasurable and we invite you to be part of this groundbreaking event.

The event will be at the site on Big Bear Lane on Friday, 10/27/2023, at 5:00 pm. This should be a short, but meaningful event. This is an exciting time for the project and our Town.
