Weather Hazards

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region this afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may produce large hail and damaging wind.

An active pattern will set up across the region Friday through the weekend. With plenty of shower and thunderstorm coverage each day, some areas may receive periods of heavy rain that could lead to an elevated threat for localized flash flooding.

**Note** A Tropical Weather Outlook section has been added to the daily weather briefing for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and since those tend to run long when there is activity, that section has been added between the daily forecasts for the four regions of the county and the almanac section so people can get to their daily forecasts with minimal interference.
