Outlook

Cool high-pressure filtering in today will bring the coldest temperatures of the season so far. A freeze is expected across the entire county. Cool and dry conditions will persist through the weekend and into early next week.

Weather Hazards

A freeze warning is in effect until 8 am this morning and will likely be issued for tonight and tomorrow morning.
Also, be careful on the roads this morning because there may be slick spots if water has frozen onto road surfaces.





**Note** A Tropical Weather Outlook section has been added to the daily weather briefing for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and since those tend to run long when there is activity, that section has been added between the daily forecasts for the four regions of the county and the almanac section so people can get to their daily forecasts with minimal interference.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Subtropical Storm Rebekah located over the north Atlantic, a few hundred miles northwest of the Azores.

1. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms are persisting nearly 1000 miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Development of this disturbance, if any, will occur during the next day or two while it moves generally westward across the central Atlantic. Thereafter, upper-level winds are forecast to become unfavorable for further development.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.
