Outlook
High pressure will prevail through the middle of this week, keeping precipitation chances very low. Temperatures will warm slightly Tuesday but then dip back to around normal with the passage of a dry cold front. A stronger cold front Thursday or Friday likely will bring precipitation, followed by sharply colder temperatures for next weekend.

Weather Hazards
Hazardous weather is not anticipated over the next couple of days. Temperatures will continue to be in the seasonal range.
Computer models are showing a significant snow event to our east later this week into next weekend. Stay tuned to see how that turns out. So far, most of our precipitation in Macon County during this time should be copious amounts of rain, except perhaps for the Highlands Plateau and higher elevations in the eastern and southeastern sections of the county. Keep this in mind when you make plans for later this week into the weekend and early next week.
**Note** A Tropical Weather Outlook section has been added to the daily weather briefing for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and since those tend to run long when there is activity, that section has been added between the daily forecasts for the four regions of the county and the almanac section so people can get to their daily forecasts with minimal interference.
CROWDFUNDING OR DAY SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
