Recount and Canvass Confirm Municipal Election Results
The Macon County Board of Elections conducted the canvass for the 2019 municipal elections and a recount of the Highlands Commissioner race yesterday morning and early afternoon. NCDOT to Remove Hazardous Trees in Cullasaja Gorge Monday
NCDOT will close the Highlands Road Monday in order to remove more hazardous trees in the Cullasaja Gorge. The detour will be through Buck Creek Road. More details are in a press release posted at the link. [LINK]
