Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.

GENERAL OUTLOOK

Low pressure will move slowly from the Gulf of Mexico across Florida today and Friday bringing clouds but little if any rain to our area. A cold front crosses our region Friday night, bringing better chances for rain. Dry and cool high pressure controls our weather for the rest of the weekend and into Monday. A strong storm system is forecast to cross our region by the middle of next week.
