Defend Life Parade/March in Franklin

Son Rise Ministries organized a Parade/March to Defend Life this past Saturday in Franklin. Members of the community gathered at the flagpole at Angel Medical Center and marched to the courthouse plaza where several speakers addressed those gathered. The topic was protecting the unborn against abortion. A video of the event at the courthouse plaza is posted below and then below that are some photos taken during part of the march and during the speaking portion of the event.

IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST

**note** Macon Media covers political events like this because it is in the public interest for the electorate to be exposed to all sides of an issue without it it first being filtered for time or space in a broadcast or in a newspaper. These events also need to be shared in their entirety without being filtered through the personal or organizational agendas of reporters or news outlets.

From the Facebook Event Page:

A march to "Defend Life" will be held in downtown Franklin,
Saturday, May 4th @ 10am - 11:30am.
Let's join together, sending a message to NC Governor Roy Cooper, and other State and National Leaders, that we want the Sanctity of Life put back in to the center of our law.
Meet at the flagpole of Angel Hospital at 10:00am
March or Drive up Town Hill (Main Street Franklin.)
At the Courthouse Plaza, NC State Representative, Kevin Corbin, and Dr. David Ramsey will be Guest Speakers.
The March will continue to the Franklin High School, whereby a van can transport you back to your vehicle.
