Outlook
Southerly flow around high pressure centered off the Atlantic coast will increase moisture levels over the region through the late week. A cold front will approach from the west on Friday and likely stall over the forecast area Saturday into Sunday. The front should finally move offshore on Monday, with drier and cooler conditions filtering in during the early part of next week.

Weather Hazards
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will affect the region, mainly this afternoon and evening. The greatest coverage of thunderstorms will occur in and near the mountains. Any thunderstorms that develop will produce occasional cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall. A few of the strongest thunderstorms may also produce small hail and gusty winds.
