Outlook

High pressure will give way to an increasing southerly flow today. A weak front will approach from the west and will result in increased chances for showers and thunderstorms each day through the weekend. Drier and slightly cooler conditions are expected early next week, behind that front.

Weather Hazards

Hazardous weather is not expected today.

A cold front will push into the region Saturday. The airmass ahead of the front will become moderately unstable while wind shear strengthens through a deep layer. The combination of these elements may develop organized strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds. Additionally, thunderstorms producing high rainfall rates could lead to localized flooding.
