Derek Roland delivered his 6th budget message as county manager to the Macon County Board of Commissioners. The verbal delivery lasted just over an hour. Both video and pdf copies of the message have been added below. It may help you to read through the budget message as you listen to the video.

The commissioners will be meeting again Tuesday the 21st of May to begin discussing the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year, which runs from July 1st to June 30th. The Board of Education, Highlands and Scaly Mountain Fire departments and the proposed Sheriff's budgets are currently scheduled for discussion at that meeting.
