On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new Angel Medical Center located at 124 One Center Court, near the intersection of US-441 and Hunnicut Lane and Northeast Main Street. The new 82,500 square-foot medical center will be opening at 6am Sunday morning. Below is a video of the ribbon cutting and a guided tour of the facility. The guided tour begins at about the 31-minute mark in the video. At the end of the video is a slideshow of photos taken of the ribbon-cutting ceremony and during the tour.
A list of speakers will be added to this article later.

Ribbon-cutting and Guided Tour
Factoids shared during the tour and press release:
Once the hospital becomes fully operational, it will have about 225 employees and, after a two-year hiatus, the cafeteria will begin serving the public once again. It seats about 70 people at a time. Within the new facility are:
• 3 operating rooms
• An endoscopy suite
• A Physical Therapy Room • And a 17-bed emergency department
Our new rooms were designed with patient comfort in mind. The new facility will have a 30-bed inpatient unit capacity with:
• 5 acuity adaptable beds
• 20 medical surgical beds
• And 5 observation beds
A $4.6 million investment in a heliport will allow the Medical Center to better respond to community needs. Construction on the heliport will begin this fall with work to be completed by early 2023. The new heliport will house both the MAMA crew and MAMA 2 helicopter.
