Outlook

A backdoor front may increase shower and thunderstorm chances for the early part of the week, but temperatures will remain well above normal. Relief from the heat is not really expected until next weekend.

State Legislature

The NC Senate will convene at 4 pm today. The Senate Select Committee on Prison Safety scheduled for 3pm today has been canceled. More information is on the legislative calendar for today. [LINK]
