GENERAL OUTLOOK
Dry conditions return for the weekend with another cold front moving through the area on Sunday. A low pressure system could develop in the northern Gulf of Mexico early next week, bringing potential precipitation Monday into Tuesday. Very cold air settles into the area by mid-week.
WINTER WEATHER HAZARDS FOR MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
Macon County is under a winter weather advisory until 7am tomorrow (Tuesday) for potential snow and sleet. Most of the county will see little accumulation, but higher elevations could see several inches. A mass of very cold air will arrive Tuesday night and overnight temperatures will plummet into the single digitis and wind chills be be below zero for much of the day on Wednesday.
