Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.

GENERAL OUTLOOK

Temperatures will be well above normal through Saturday, with periods of heavy rainfall. The cumulative effect of rainfall will make Saturday`s showers more prone to causing minor river flooding. Dry and cooler high pressure will return Monday and beyond.

1564 – The Council of Trent establishes an official distinction between Roman Catholicism and Protestantism.

2021 – Protesters and farmers storm the Red Fort near Delhi, clashing with police. One protester is killed and more than 80 police officers are injured.
