A fast moving system will bring a quick round of accumulating snow across the higher elevations of the mountains near the Tennessee border today into early this evening. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will also be possible east of the mountains. A warming trend begins Monday with highs well above normal through Wednesday. A sharp cold front moves through the area Wednesday into Wednesday night with a brief return of dry weather before unsettled conditions return late week into next weekend.
