11:16am Radio Traffic A Franklin truck reported a car in the ditch on West Palmer, no injuries. Also reports the road is starting to become a solid sheet of ice.

• There is a report of a two car accident on East Main Street in front of the First Assembly of God. No injuries according to a Cullasaja-Gorge Firefighter. COmmand has cut response to one truck.

• Caller reported a structure fire in the Belle View Road area. This was Clarks Chapel's fire district. The fire turned out to be a controlled burn of brush piles that had been going on all week. response was canceled.

• The North Carolina Highway Patrol requested the fire department to respond to an accident (no injuries) on Walnut Creek Road near the Jackson County line to check on the welfare of the person involved and give them a ride down the mountain to the trooper, who cannot, due to road conditions, drive to the accident. A truck has slid over an embankment.
