Outlook
An upper-level ridge will keep temperatures warmer than normal through the middle of the week. A slowly-moving cold front will approach our region from the west and cross the area by Thursday night. Expect abundant moisture ahead of the front, and the potential for heavy rainfall is high. Drier and colder air will return Friday and over the weekend behind the cold front.

A vigorous and moisture-laden storm will likely bring periods of heavy rain to the region as early as this evening, but more likely Wednesday into Thursday. Excessive rainfall may lead to flooding of small streams and main stem rivers during this time. Thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday into Thursday along and ahead of a cold front.
