Weather Hazards

We are under a Winter Storm Warning for today in Macon County. Most of us will probably see at least an inch of snow, and some locations in the higher elevations and the Highlands area could see up to 3 inches or so with extreme southeastern sections seeing 6 inches of snow. Also, be aware that another storm system will bring heavy rainfall to the area late Monday night through Tuesday morning. Up to an additional 2-3 inches of rain could fall on already saturated ground, increasing the risk for flooding.
